Diwali

Deepavali popularly known as the festival of lights, is an important five-day festival in Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism, occurring between October - November. For Hindus, Diwali is the most important festival of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes.

During Diwali, lights illuminate every corner of India and the scent of incense sticks hangs in the air, mingled with the sounds of fire-crackers, joy, togetherness and hope. Diwali is celebrated around the globe.

Lord Rama returned after 14 years from Vanvas. Goddess Lakshmi symbolizes wealth and prosperity, and her blessings are invoked for a good year ahead.

Dhanteras

Dhanteras falls on the thirteenth day of the month of ashwin & Dhanteras is the first day of the five-day Diwali Festival. The festival, also known as "Dhantrayodashi" or "Dhanwantari Triodasi".

The word "Dhan" means wealth. Dhanteras holds special significance for the business community due to customary purchases of precious metals on this day. To mark the auspicious day, houses and business premises are renovated and decorated.
